Woohoo Rain!...and Something to Share

Last night we had some lovely rain - 128mm in fact! It goes very nicely with the 38mm we had the night before. We also had a little bit of hail - the kids thought it was pretty cool! So now the dams and tanks are full once again and hubby is very happy (I'm sure the cows are too now the grass will grow).

Anyway onto some scrapping. I have done a couple of the challenges over at the Scrap Therapy cybercrop. The theme for this month is 'stampede'. This layout was for the inspiration challenge which was a picture of the running of the bulls in Pamplona. I used the red colour as my inspirations and created this layout about Lachlan learning to crap a whip:

This one is for the sketch challenge which also had to have some link to the stampede theme. I have used a pic of Luke and Darcie. Luke is a cattle farmer - cattle stampede so there is my link! LOL
And finally for the theme challenge we had to use at least 3 different stamps on a layout:

Enjoy your weekend. :)

A Bit of This and A Bit of That!

I have a few scrappy shares. I have been having a bit of a clean up of my stash and am finding lots of things I forgot I even had! I am determined to start using them up. So here is a 'just because' one using some WRMK pp - love the bright colours:

And here is my latest layout for 52 Pick Up at LSBS. The challenge was to use geometrical shapes and black as the major colour on a layout/cards/OTP. I have used some Cosmo Cricket 'Little Man' on this one - I had been saving it to use on an OTP but figured I'd probably never get around to doing it:

I am planning on getting some more scrapping done over the weekend. Scrap Therapy are having a cybercrop so I think I might play along. The theme is 'Stampede' and, living on a farm, that is right up my ally!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a good weekend...

November What's Ad About!?!

This month's challenge is up on the What's Ad About!?! blog. You have to draw inspiration from this ad and also use masking:

What a gorgeous pic! I was inspired by the indian theme of the layout. The Pussycat Dolls song 'Jai ho' came into my mind when I saw the ad so have used the lyrics as my title on this layout about my hubby:

Can't wait to see what you all come up with this month!

Just Coz

I have managed to get some scrapping done. I am finding that I spend less and less time on a layout lately - I just don't have the time to spare. :(

Anyway these are a couple of 'just because' layouts. This one using some cute Crate paper pp's and using up some old Kaiser brads and BG chipboard stickers:

And this one of baby Darcie who, at this rate, will not be a baby for very much longer!

I have had my 'Pucker Up' layout accepted for publication too! I'm not too sure whether I should tell my hubby that his pouting face is now going to be in print! LOL

Recycling

I am currently having a big clean up and chuck out of anything that hasn't been used/worn etc in the last 12 months. Nothing is safe - not even Luke! LOL Anyway I was about to throw out a whole heap of old clothes that I know I will NEVER wear again and came across some t-shirts that I bought when I used to go to the Livid music festivals in Brisbane when I was a teenager. This weeks 52 Pick Up challenge was to use fabric and a tag on a layout. Soooo I decided to use one of my old shirts for the base of the layout. I found some pics of me and my bestie Kirsty at Livid so I scrapped them (I'm the one in the background poking out my tongue - so classy I know!):

I Love This Time of Year

The plants in my garden are starting to flower, there are heaps of gorgeous little poddy calves running around the paddocks and the weather is getting warmer.

We also have some baby Willy Wagtails. They have had a nest outside our bedroom window and now the babies are big enough to fly. They are so cute. The mum and dad Willy are very protective - they 'attack' all sorts of other birds that come near. The other day I spotted them attacking a kookaburra. The willy wagtail was actually sitting on its back.
I managed to snap a few piccies of the willy's having a splash under the sprinkler in the garden:

Speaking of babies, check out mine:

She is now 5 months old and growing much quicker than I would like her to. She can almost sit up by herself, is really good at picking things up and holding them and has started eating solids :

She loves banana and sweet potato (not together obviously! LOL). She sits there going 'Mmmmm' whenever she is eating so I'm pretty sure she's enjoying it!

A Bit More Scrapping

These are some more 52 Pick Up Challenges. I have now caught up! This one is for Helen's challenge - to make a fridge frame. It needed to have flowers and a word/quote:

And this layout is for Kerryn's challenge - to include hidden journalling. Here is mine - it looks a little 'busy'! LOL

And here it is again with the hidden journalling now not hidden anymore:
