Where Did The Last 6 Months Go??

Another milestone in the Bell household today. Darcie is now 6 months old! Gosh where did the time go?! She can now sit up all by herself and is starting to pull her knees up underneath her when lying on her belly. I really hope she doesn't start crawling any time soon - that will mean I will need to keep a tidier house! LOL

She loves her Jolly Jumper and when she was in it the other day she started saying this:.

Oh how clever she is! Although I think I have drummed it into her enough. LOL It worked for the other 2 kiddies as well - their first word's were the same.

Finally....

an update! My big boy headed off this morning for his first day of orientation at school. He starts Prep next year. He was so excited - so excited in fact that he didn't even give me a kiss or even a 'goodbye' when I dropped him off! *sniff*

And look at him - he doesn't look big enough to be going off to big school!

Onto some scrappy stuff. Last weekend was the Crafty Christmas Cybercrop over at LSBS. Here are my creations. This one is a layout that had to be about giving and so it's about my beautiful pandora bracelet I got for my birthday.

This one for Kerryn's challenge - to create a treat tin that you can fill with lollies etc:

And this one for Helen's challenge - lollie bags. You are supposed to attach a little bag in the centre with some lollies in it but I didn't have any at the time:

This was Dee's challenge - to make your own bonbonniere boxes and fill them with goodies. I put some lip gloss, nail polish and hair bands in mine and am going to put it in Michala's xmas stocking:
And finally for Nic's challenge we had to use 4 mini canvases that were put together to make one larger canvas. I'm not really happy with how it turned out - I think it needs some tweaking. ;)

So that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend! :)

Some More Scrapping...

this time for this months Scrap The Girls challenge - a colour challenge using these colours:

And here is my layout:
And this one is another challenge for 52 Pick Up at LSBS. The criteria for this challenge were overlapping photos, photos going under the paper and an element on top of the paper to create layers. Here is mine:

Thanks so much for stopping by. Please don't forget to leave me a comment - I love reading them. :)

Woohoo Rain!...and Something to Share

Last night we had some lovely rain - 128mm in fact! It goes very nicely with the 38mm we had the night before. We also had a little bit of hail - the kids thought it was pretty cool! So now the dams and tanks are full once again and hubby is very happy (I'm sure the cows are too now the grass will grow).

Anyway onto some scrapping. I have done a couple of the challenges over at the Scrap Therapy cybercrop. The theme for this month is 'stampede'. This layout was for the inspiration challenge which was a picture of the running of the bulls in Pamplona. I used the red colour as my inspirations and created this layout about Lachlan learning to crap a whip:

This one is for the sketch challenge which also had to have some link to the stampede theme. I have used a pic of Luke and Darcie. Luke is a cattle farmer - cattle stampede so there is my link! LOL
And finally for the theme challenge we had to use at least 3 different stamps on a layout:

Enjoy your weekend. :)

A Bit of This and A Bit of That!

I have a few scrappy shares. I have been having a bit of a clean up of my stash and am finding lots of things I forgot I even had! I am determined to start using them up. So here is a 'just because' one using some WRMK pp - love the bright colours:

And here is my latest layout for 52 Pick Up at LSBS. The challenge was to use geometrical shapes and black as the major colour on a layout/cards/OTP. I have used some Cosmo Cricket 'Little Man' on this one - I had been saving it to use on an OTP but figured I'd probably never get around to doing it:

I am planning on getting some more scrapping done over the weekend. Scrap Therapy are having a cybercrop so I think I might play along. The theme is 'Stampede' and, living on a farm, that is right up my ally!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a good weekend...

November What's Ad About!?!

This month's challenge is up on the What's Ad About!?! blog. You have to draw inspiration from this ad and also use masking:

What a gorgeous pic! I was inspired by the indian theme of the layout. The Pussycat Dolls song 'Jai ho' came into my mind when I saw the ad so have used the lyrics as my title on this layout about my hubby:

Can't wait to see what you all come up with this month!

Just Coz

I have managed to get some scrapping done. I am finding that I spend less and less time on a layout lately - I just don't have the time to spare. :(

Anyway these are a couple of 'just because' layouts. This one using some cute Crate paper pp's and using up some old Kaiser brads and BG chipboard stickers:

And this one of baby Darcie who, at this rate, will not be a baby for very much longer!

I have had my 'Pucker Up' layout accepted for publication too! I'm not too sure whether I should tell my hubby that his pouting face is now going to be in print! LOL
Thanks for stopping by...
